Foundational Lineage

On Principle and Lineage

From Bletchley Park to Blake3. The continuity of accountable computation and the stewardship of verifiable systems.

Alan Turing showed that any machine can be audited. The Bombe proved that no cipher is beyond scrutiny. This is the origin of accountable computation. The Alan Turing Institute continues this work. Genesis Glass Foundation recognizes the same deep simplicity in their ethics framework. Accountability is not a layer added to AI. It is the ground beneath it. Traceability is not a feature. It is the prerequisite for trust.

The principle of accountability is an end-to-end governing principle. Accountability entails that humans are answerable for the parts they play across the entire AI design, development, and deployment workflow. It also demands that the results of this work are traceable from start to finish. Designers and implementers should be held accountable for the decisions they make and the systems they build.

The Alan Turing Institute AI Ethics Module

We stand in this lineage not for borrowed authority but for continuity. From Bletchley Park to Blake3, the insight remains unchanged. What can be computed can be verified. What can be verified must be answerable. This is the stewardship Genesis Glass Foundation was chartered to uphold.
